For our Quarter 1 event, the PAFS Ireland team headed to the International Rugby Museum in Limerick on Thursday 28th March where the team got to enjoy a fun filled, fully immersive and interactive experience.

The International Rugby Experience is the Home of Legends! While the experience celebrates the game at an international level, it is located in the very centre of Limerick City – known throughout the world as the spiritual home of rugby.

The museum is split into six awe inspiring zones where it will take you on a journey from the grass routes of rugby right up to legendary status with each stage rooted in World Rugby’s values of passion, discipline, integrity, solidarity and respect. These closely align with PAFS Ireland’s values so the event was a very fitting one.

The competitive edge amongst the staff was evident when they competed in groups of three in the Legendary Skills Zone, which was divided into four fun interactive challenges of rugby-kicking, handling, running and strength/technique. Great fun was had although we are not sure if we have found the next Johnny Sexton just yet.

Following the skills zone, the team were able to immerse themselves in stories of amateur rugby clubs around the world and across time as well as interactive stories from legendary players themselves of how rugby has impacted politics and changed lives throughout the world.

Lastly, we enjoyed the sixth-floor space, with stunning views of Limerick city. After the museum tour, we were welcomed with some light refreshments to top off a great day. We will be taking the lessons learned and the skills obtained on this tour as we head into Q2 2024.
